#4 - The ENCRYPTX AV scanning engine updates the Anti-Virus signature files (known as DAT files) automatically in the background while the user is working. This is an Auto-update feature. There is significant logic built into the scanner to allow the user to work with their drive while DAT file updates are occurring in the background. The user must update their DAT files at a minimum once every 30 days, and the product enforces this automatically.
Other products do not update the Anti-virus DAT files in the background while continuing to work.
