SecurDataStor® and DeviceDefender®
We offer several products that provide CD and DVD encryption depending on your needs: SecurDataStor Premium or Professional, SecurDataStor Batch CD/DVD Production Application and DeviceDefender.
SecurDataStor Premium or Professional
Designed for content producers and publishers that produce and distribute content on CDs and DVDS. Password lock and encrypt CDs and DVDs directly from your PC using the SecurDataStor built in CD encrypted burning engine with powerful 448 bit encryption. No third party mastering or burning application is required to burn encrypted CDs or DVDs since SecurDataStor has its own CD/DVD burning software.
- No client side software required on recipient PC. CD contains all necessary components to auto-run and launch the content for the user if their password is successful.
- CDs and DVDs can also be controlled using digital rights management features such as automatically time expire CDs and DVDs, make content “view only” so that it can be saved or copied off of the CD or DVD. Multiple user login controls allow you to have many different types of users (e.g. demo versus licensed) nested on the same CD, and each user can have different access rights to the content on the CD (e.g. User A can save, User B can view only, and User C can’t see certain files on the CD).
- SecurDataStor comes pre-configured with 100 CD or DVD burns. Additional media burn license keys can be purchased for a separate fee. The Professional version adds user group templates that can be re-used over and over for CD/DVD distribution to the same group of users.
SecurDataStor Batch CD/DVD
Production Application
For customers that produce more than a few hundred CDs or DVDs a year, or that have a preferred third party mastering application that they use, we offer a batch program with automated scripts that can be used with other CD mastering applications. The Batch program runs completely un-attended and is designed for volume production of CDs or DVDs.
- The batch program automatically detects when files are written to a specified directory location, and then encrypts those files automatically with the controls you have previously specified through the batch program.
- The batch program has all the same digital rights management controls as SecurDataStor Premium or Professional.
- The encrypted files are automatically written to a directory location that you have specified that your mastering application will detect to allow you to start your CD or DVD mastering process.
DeviceDefender
Designed for users that occasionally burn CDs or DVDs on PCs or Servers for backup and data sharing purposes, but that do not need all the digital rights management controls and production features of SecurDataStor. DeviceDefender intercepts native MS Windows burning operations by the user (e.g. Send to CD or drag and drop files to the CD/DVD drive), and asks the user to set a password for the CD or DVD. The files written to the CD or DVD are automatically encrypted. DeviceDefender PC version allows the user to encrypt up to 250 CDs a year. DeviceDefender Server version allows the user to encrypt up to 1500 CDs a year
