The Defender Collection Device Control USB Flash Drive was developed to provide the features of a hardware encrypted drive at a fraction of the cost.

Lock Drive Feature – The Device Control Drive is locked when inserted into a PC.  The lock feature ensures that the contents of the drive are not accessible or viewable until the user provides the correct password.  The Lock Drive feature ensures your private information remains private.

Swap Partition Feature – When the appropriate password is given, the drive swaps from a locked drive to an unlocked drive.  Encrypted files on the device are visible and available for use.

Automatic Encryption – When the drive is unlocked, the Device Control application automatically scans and detects files and encrypts them.  Any files written to the drive through any application are automatically encrypted.  You can also cut and paste files to the drive, drag and drop files to the drive, and Send To files to the drive.  Device Control automatically detects any files written to the drive, and encrypts them automatically.

Device Control File Manager Application – The Device Control File Manager Application will also auto-launch from the drive.  The application provides users with advanced features for file editing, decryption, bulk file encryption, rename of encrypted files, and other useful features.

FIPS 140-2 Certified Encryption – Device Control uses FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certified encryption algorithms.  Device Control has been approved by the US Government for encryption of USB Flash drives and is listed on the DOD/GSA DAR ESI SmartBuy Contract #FA8771-07-A-0302, and on the GSA Schedule, Contract# GS-35-0307N.

No PC Administrator Rights Required – No PC Administrative Rights are required to use a Device Control USB Drive, or to encrypt or decrypt files to and from the drive.

Optional McAfee Anti-Virus/Malware Scanning – An optional Anti-Virus/Malware feature ensures your drive is kept free of viruses and malware.  The AV engine is integrated on to your Device Control USB Flash drive, and runs from the drive.  Any files that are infected are detected and automatically blocked and deleted from the drive.  The AV engine also ensures your virus and malware signature files are up to date.

Optional IT Administrator Management Web Console – An optional IT Administrative web launch management console is available as either an installed or hosted security application.  Administrators or Security Officers can set policies for drive usage (e.g. password policies, network usage policies, offline usage, re-authorization intervals), perform remote password recovery for users, revoke access to lost or stolen drives, and perform full forensics audit tracking of the contents of Device Control protected drives, the files on the drives and the users that have access to the files.

Custom Logos and Branding – Optional custom logos (2 color) are available for $.50 cents per drive.  Four color logos are $1.00 per drive.  Different drive body colors are available including Black, Red, Green, White and Yellow.  Minimum order of 100 drives for custom logos.
